Literature Inspired Hotels

131112112732-literary-hotels---le-marcel-horizontal-gallery131112112700-literary-hotels---lhotel-horizontal-galleryI finished reading Morrissey’s Autobiography a few weeks ago and  now, more than ever, I feel I need to go to Manchester for a literary and musical pilgrimage of sorts (you can read my review of the book here). So, when I saw these hotels which have either been inspired by literature or have histories tied to writers, I had to make a note to myself to visit and/or stay in them, especially the ones in Paris. L’ Hotel was made famous by Oscar Wilde, who lived and died there. Hotel Le Marcel has the color indigo spread throughout because the owners say it’s a major element of romantic literature.
